We had company come to visit - Dave’s brother Bob fly down out of the snow and cold of Spokane to spend the week with us so he could see a Spring Training Game (Seattle Mariners, of course), play some golf and go to the Good Guys car show in Scottsdale.   The weather was very warm on Tuesday, so we all got plenty of sun (and I got a little sun burn on my knees) and  the Mariners won their game against Kansas City Royals.    On Wednesday it rained (and poured) for the whole day and while Bob did play golf it made for a long round waiting for heavy downpours to let up.   The next day was sunny, but the course he played had lots of new “Ponds” all over it and was very, very soggy.

On Saturday we took him down to the Arizona Commemerative Air Force Museum.  This facility is maintained by retired Air Force veterans, a lot of whom did tours at either Luke AFB (still going) or Williams AFB which is now where the Mesa-Gateway Airport is located.  The B-17 (Sentimental Journey) is flown every year and goes on tour during the summer.

Bob even went up inside the plane (he has good knees unlike Dave and I!

There was also a B-25 WWII bomber and an old DC—10 on the tarmac outside of the museum.
